Untitled Poem
By Ivy
She had a beautiful smile, Rosy cheeks and porcelain skin, Lips tainted red and hair in a pile, A beauty untouched by age or sin.
Strands of black blowing with the wind, Catching the light as they danced on her skin. She gazed into the floor, Looking at something I must ignore.
She finally raises her head, Her eyes staring ahead. I shudder as red eyes collide with mine, Inflicting their terror down my spine.
I look down on her hands. Blood drips. The clock strikes midnight. Yet sunlight shines where she stands.
She pulls out a knife, Her smile widening. She stabs into a crack. I stumble back. A crack runs straight across the glass, Splitting her in two. Her hand reaches through. She sees me too.
The cracks begin to spread, Red eyes never leave mine. I try to turn, I try to run, But the knife slips through the break.
The room falls silent She begins to fade. And when I look down at my chest, The blood is no longer hers.
